Chapter 3: A New Threat

???: It was me...

The owner of the voice has revealed herself.  She's wearing some kind of dark red clothing.  It seems like this person is from a rich family and had caused a flamethrower attack without using a Pokemon.  She then stops and stares at the eight characters.  Ash and his friends are amazed from her entrance.

Ash, Iris and Cilan: Whoa.

Cynthia looks at the mysterious person as if she felt something is not right.  She continues to watch.

Jessie: Hey! Watch who you're shooting at!

The mysterious woman looks at Team Rocket and replies in a mean manner.

???: How about you bozos get out of my sight?
Meowth: (scared) This girl's freaking me out.
James: (scared) I.. I think we should leave.
Jessie: Leave!? Just because of this person!?

The woman then stares at them with a meaner face and intimidates the trio.  Team Rocket has fled from her scary look while the gang was a bit impressed with her.  Cynder thanks to the mystery girl.

Cynder: Hey, thank you for scaring them away.  They were trouble.
???: Well of course, the only way to defeat your enemies is by showing fear.

After what she said, Cynthia begins to think differently about the person's personality.  She continues to watch.  The girl introduces herself.

???: By the way, I'm Azula.
Ash: I'm Ash, and these are my friends, Cynthia, Iris, and...

Azula interrupts his introduction.

Azula: Hold it, so you're Ash and Cynthia, correct?

Cynthia finally spoke.

Cynthia: Yes?
Azula: That's great. I've been looking for you two.
Ash: You were? Why?
Azula: Lets say your friend from another world has sent me to deliver the message to you two.

Cynthia recognizes the words and she believes Sonic was the friend she was talking about.(Read Origin of My Fanfiction)

Cynthia: You mean...Sonic?
Azula: Yes... your friend Sonic wanted me to tell you...

Cynthia interrupts her speech.

Cynthia: (surprised) Wait! You're from another world too!?

Azula felt a little angry when Cynthia spoke out of turn, but she then quickly relieves herself and answered her politely.

Azula: Fascinating isn't it?  There are more worlds that you haven't seen or knew.
Cilan: There's more?
Azual: Yes, and are you aware that your world will be destroyed by them?

From hearing what she said, the gang was in shock and bewildered.

Ash: Destroyed!? How!?
Azula: Because of their existance, they will bring your world into eternal darkness. They want to reign supreme in your home.  And the only way to prevent that is to go to their's and destroy them!
Ash: Me and Cynthia?  Destroy their worlds?
Azula: Yes, it's the only way, probably destroy their heroes, they are the ones who will go against you.

Cynthia speaks out again.

Cynthia: Destroy their heroes?  That doesn't sound right.
Azula: Hey, that was his message.  If you want to survive, then you must attack first.
Cynder: But...my world isn't doing that.

Azula notices the small dragon.  She knew that the creature was not from this planet.  She then makes a warning to the gang.

Azula: Hmm, this is...awkward.  You do realize that this dragon's from another world, right?
Ash: Yes?

Azula tries to make a point.

Azula: And the events that are happening now, right?
Cynthia: What are you saying?
Azula: It's obvious that. (she points at Cynder) This dragon is an assassin who is on a mission to get rid of you!
Cynder: (shocked) WHAT!?

Ash and his friends start to look at Cynder with worries.

Ash, Iris and Cilan: Assassin?

Cynder tries to convince them.

Cynder: I'm not an assassin! Honest!
Azula: (demanding) She's lying!  This world is now in danger!  Destroy her before it's too late!
Cynder: (minor tears) I swear! I'm not them!

Ash and his friends continue to stare at her while Cynder starts to get upset and betrayed.  She tilts her head down with tears coming down from her eyes.

Cynder: I'm...not.

Then suddenly, Cynthia stands up for the defenseless dragon.

Cynthia: No.  I don't believe that!

Cynder looks at Cynthia.

Azula: (anger) What! You're just going to let her go!?
Cynthia: Cynder's my friend and I won't harm her!
Cynder: (cuddles to Cynthia) Thank you, Cynthia.

Azula begins to despise the champion and Cynthia begins to distrust Azula.

Cynthia: Also, what you're saying doesn't sound like Sonic. He would never solve problems with destruction.

Ash begins to support Cynthia and Cynder.

Ash: She's right! That message doesn't sound like it's from him!
Pikacu: Pika Pika!
Azula: (anger) So you're all calling me a liar?
Cynthia: I believe that because I can tell you're acting sinister.

Azula begins to smile.

Azula: So you're saying that I'm a bad guy?

Cynthia pauses for a moment and comes up with a theory.

Cynthia: You're a villain, aren't you?

Azula pauses herself and the gang starts to stare at her with a suspicious look.

Azula: Do you really have to spoil the moment?

Azula then immediately shoots out a blue flame at the team.  Ash and his friends scream in fear but Cynder swoops in and intercepts the shot, leaving her a little damaged and the gang completely unharmed.

Cynthia: (throws her pokeball) Garchomp!

Garchomp comes out at Cynthia's command.

Ash: Get ready Pikachu!

Pikachu gets ready for the battle.

Azula: (anger) You're pets will burn!

Azula shoots out another flame.  Ash then calls out a Quick Attack.  Pikachu was too fast for Azula and landed a strike on her.  Azula was enraged and shoots out another which finally landed on Pikachu.  The damage was severe but the Pokemon continues the fight. Cynthia commands her Pokemon to use Brick Break.  Garchomp makes a powerful blow on Azula and brings her to the ground.

Cynthia: You are no match against me!

Azula gets up and shoots out two flames from her legs.  Garchomp gets hit but less damage was given since fire moves gives a little to a dragon type.  Ash calls out an Electro Ball.  Pikachu throws a generated ball towards Azula while Azula shoots out a blue flame.  The two moves got intercepted with an explosion.  Iris shouts at Azula.

Iris: What's wrong with you!?
Azula: Teaching you a lesson, child!  And also, I show you what lightning looks like.

Azula begins to generate lightning and shoots one at Pikachu.  The thunder made a critical hit to Pikachu but Pikachu still continues the battle.

Ash: Pikachu!

Cynder swoops in and fires a black flame at Azula.  Azula gets frustrated.

Azula: Perish lizard!

Azula generates another electricity and fires it at Cynder.

Cynthia: Protect her!

Garchomp interferes the blast to protect Cynder.  Garchomp still stands with no scratch and Azula was astonished.

Azula: Unbelievable! How did it survive the blast!?
Cynthia: Garchomp is a ground type Pokemon.  Electric attacks won't do any damage!
Azula: I see, then if your pet can survive it, lets see you can!

Azula blasts another thunder, this time directly at Cynthia.  Garchomp then creates a wall, protecting Cynthia from the strike.
Cynthia and Garchomp are perfectly unharmed.

Azula: Get out of the way, pest!
Cynthia: Draco Meteor!

Garchomp fires several meteors to the sky and the bombs fall toward Azula.  Azula uses her flames to act like a jet and accelerate, avoiding one of the bombs.  Then one bomb falls on her making a big damage.

Cynthia: Give up Azula!
Ash: You're outnumbered!
Azula: (getting up) That's true...but you're outnumbered.

Azula spawns fire soldiers that look like Creepers from Minecraft but with hands, legs, a sword, and fire around the body.

Ash, Iris and Cilan: Ahh!!

More kept on spawning, like from five to ten to twenty and more.

Cynthia: No.

Cynder watches the soldiers spawn in shock.

Azula commands them to attack.

Azula: Attack!

The army charges after the gang.  Suddenly, out of nowhere, a trail of bubbles shot against the soldiers, eliminating six of them.

Azula: What!

The team saw where the bubbles come from and it came from a Pokemon named Piplup and its trainer, their old pal, Dawn.

Ash: (surprised) Dawn! Piplup!
Cynthia: Thank you!
Dawn: (rushes to them) Are you alright guys?
Ash: We're fine, thanks.

Then another friend came along with Dawn.  An unusual miracle, their other worldly friend, Mordecai returns.(Read Origin of My Fanfiction)

Mordecai: Hey! Azula!

Ash and the gang watches as Mordecai has finally came back.

Ash: Mordecai!
Cynthia: Mordecai?...but how?
Azula: Well if it ain't the woodpecker.
Mordecai: It's Mordecai. (points at Azula) You hurt my best friend, Rigby!
Ash: You know her?  And she hurt your friend?
Azula: I did, so what?
Mordecai: I'm here to avenge him!
Azula: Avenge your friend? Okay, Come and fight me.

Mordecai gets ready for the fight and walks towards her.  Then Dawn holds him back.

Dawn: (blocking his way) Not now, Mordecai!  We only came here to find our friends.

Mordecai switches his position.

Mordecai: You're right.(looking at the team) Follow me everyone!
Azula: (anger) This has gone far enough! This world will now fall!

Azula begins to escape

Azula: Bye for now.

She disappeared in the engulfing wall of fire, leaving no traces behind.

Mordecai: She's gone.
Cynthia: (with joy) Mordecai! It's great to see you again!
Ash: I'm glad to see you again, Mordo!
Pikachu: Pikachu!
Ash: What's going on?
Mordecai: I'll explain later.  First lets go, Brock's waiting for us.
Ash: Brock's here too?
Dawn: Ash! He'll explain later.
Ash: Sorry.
Cilan: Iris and I are amazed by your return.
Mordecai: I'm amazed to see all of you too, but we'll talk later.  Some weird things are happening now.

Cynder looks at the sky and noticed something extroardinary.

Cynder: Guys? What's that up in the sky?

The whole gang looks up at the sky and sees something truly horrific.

The whole team: Ahh!!
Ash: What is that!?
Dawn: Oh my!

In the sky was a humongous mothership.  It was the size of the whole entire Undella Town.  Citizens and Pokemon began to panic while the spaceship floats slowly above the town.

Cynthia: That ship's enormous!
Mordecai: That thing again!?(as if he remembers it)
Dawn: Again? Mordecai! What's going on!?

Then the giant ship flashed with light and brought out thousands of fire creeper soldiers.  The army began to wreck havoc into the region.

Iris: There's more!?
Cynthia: It's an invasion!

The ship keeps on summoning more soldiers in each minute, bringing them out like about millions.

Dawn: There's like a million of those things coming out of the ship!

Then the mothership flashed again and this time summoned a new foe, a large fire eel, coated with minor magma.  It approaches the heroes.

Mordecai: What the heck is that?

The eel fires a fireball at Piplup.  Piplup fainted from the attack.

Dawn: Piplup!!

Then the eel shoots another at Garchomp.  Garchomp gets hit and recieved major damage.  It was almost about to faint.

Cynthia: Garchomp!?
Mordecai: Follow me, quick!

The eel keeps on firing and the gang fled from the attack.  Our heroes have witnessed a massive invasion and it is creating a crisis in Unova.  While this world is under a siege, Ash and his friends have made it to shelter.

Chapter 4: Concerns and Plans

Mordecai: (exhausted) Is everyone alright?
Iris: Mordecai? Can you explain now?
Dawn: What is that giant thing?
Cynthia: More importantly, how did you know about that woman, Azula?
 
Mordecai recovers from exhaustion and begins to explain the nonsense.

Mordecai: Well...for the spaceship thing, it's confusing. (clenching his fist)  But I can tell you how I met Azula.

Right before he explains, Brock rushes up to Cynthia love struck.

Brock: Wow! Cynthia!
Cynthia: Brock?
Ash: Brock?
Cynder: What's he doing?
Dawn: Charming her...

Cynthia doesn't get embarrassed but gets serious for the events just happened.

Cynthia: Brock, please, this is serious.
Brock: Oh...okay, sorry.
Mordecai: Brock, I brought our friends from the flaming guys.  You know Iris, Cilan, and...

Then Mordecai just noticed a black dragon like he never seen it before.

Mordecai: And excuse me, who are you?
Cynder: (smiles) Cynder.
Ash: She's from another world too.
Mordecai: (confused) Is she a bad guy?

Cynder becomes a little upset. Cynthia corrects him.

Cynthia: Mordecai, that's not nice.
Mordecai: Oh man, right. (faces Cynder) Sorry, Cynder.  My name's Mordecai.
Dawn: My name is Dawn and this is Piplup.
Piplup: Pip.
Brock: And I'm Brock.
Cynder: (looks up to them) Hello...

Mordecai then goes back to his story.

Mordecai: Where was I? Okay.  It was at my park. That girl, Azula appeared in front of me and Rigby and she was telling us about our world is in the brink of destruction.  She explained that Sonic sent her here to deliver the message, but I knew the message wasn't from Sonic.  Because of my defiance, she attacked us...and Rigby...(tilts his head down)...Rigby was the first target.  He was badly injured.  Then suddenly the same airship appeared and it send out an army of fire dudes and started to attack us.  My guess is that they're from other worlds so I have no choice but to find you guys.  Since I don't have Sonic and Shadow to use their emeralds' power, I used another method and Skips helped me out.  It took a while but it worked.  After that, I met Dawn and then Brock.
Cilan: And then it was?
Mordecai: That's right, you guys.
Ash: So, Azula was at your world telling the same thing.
Mordecai: (shocked) You too!?
Cynder: She was saying the same thing about other worlds destroying worlds.  Heroes against heroes.
Brock: But why aiming for the heroes?
Dawn: Maybe because they are the ones who protect their homes, if they're gone, their world will be vulnerable.
Cynthia: But guys, I think Azula is one of the villains from her world.  This could be her scheme.

The conversation continues.

Mordecai: That could be true, but that doesn't explain about the invasions.
Dawn: So Mordecai, what should we do?

Mordecai pauses for a moment to look for suggestions. Then he thought of an idea.

Mordecai: We have to go see Sonic.
Ash: Go to Sonic's world?
Mordecai: Yes dude, Azula says the messages are from Sonic.  So lets see if it is true, And think about it,  there could be a possibility that his world is under attack too.
Cynthia: I agree.
Brock: But how are we going to travel there?
Mordecai: I still have a gizmo that Skips made for me.  This is how I arrived here.  We'll use that.

Cynder then remembers about her friend Spyro.

Cynder: Hey! If we're going to Sonic's world, what about Spyro?
Mordecai: Who?
Ash: Her friend, Spyro is missing.
Mordecai: (suddenly stands up) Oh no! That's not good.  Should we look for him?
Cynthia: Well we were, until Team Rocket showed up.

After a little pause, Cynder rethinks about the situation.

Cynder: Wait Cynthia, we shouldn't go look for him.
Cynthia: (shocked) What? Cynder, he could be out there.
Cynder: I don't know, Cynthia.  It's a big place and there's an invasion going on.(tilts her head down)  I think it's best if we go to Sonic's world instead.
Cynthia: (feeling sorry for her) Cynder...

Cynder begins to smile.

Cynder: I want to help you stop these invasions.

Cynthia looks at her as if she understands her feelings.  Cynthia accepts her choice.

Cynthia: Okay Cynder.

From hearing Cynder's decision, Iris came up with an idea.

Iris: Hey I got it!  Why won't Cilan and I go look for Spyro?
Ash: (surprised) You both want to stay and look for Spyro? But don't you want to see Sonic? 
Cilan: We do but I want to help out Cynder.
Iris: Besides, who will stop the invasion here?  We'll look for Spyro and try to stop the invasion!
Cynder: (with joy) Wow! You two are the best! Thank you so much!

Cynthia appraciates Iris and Cilan's decision.

Cynthia: That's the greatest sacrifice you two have ever made. I am proud of you both.
Iris: Just tell Sonic we said "hi".
Ash: You got it! Good luck out there!

Mordecai prepares his gizmo for the travel.  Iris and Cilan wishes the team good luck and heads out to the town to stop the invasion and find Spyro.  With Iris and Cilan left behind, Ash, Dawn, Brock, Cynthia, Mordecai, and Cynder began to travel to Sonic's world.
