World War Chaos 3- Chapter 10

Two Worlds Down

In the Primal World of the first universe, Steve is almost done constructing the plaza for the United World headquarters.  His last piece was a decorative fountain covered in diamonds and stone blocks.  In the center of the fountain he built a statue of Katara, a member of the team who is a master of waterbending.  The water falls from the statue's fingertips and the small sprinklers are coming from underneath filling the fountain with enough water.  Steve is placing the final pieces for the fountain.

Steve: I am so excited.  I am almost done with the decor and sculpting for our plaza.  I can't wait to see their faces when they see my creativity.  

While he was building, a bright light appears behind him.  Steve turns around and he was blinded by the intense brightness.  A few seconds later the light disappears and out from the light are five Pokemon Trainers: Ash, Serena, Dawn, Brock, and Cynthia.  Pikachu and Greninja are also with them but they're all lying on the ground as if they were exhausted.  Steve sees clearly and he was astonished by their instant arrival.

Steve: ASH!?  DAWN!?  BROCK!?  CYNTHIA!?  And the new girl!?

Steve goes to check on them.  As he checks on Brock, everyone besides Ash and Greninja opened their eyes and got up with confusion.  Then they became surprised as they saw Steve.  

Dawn: STEVE!
Brock: STEVE!
Steve: GUYS!

As the two hugged Steve, Serena sees him with great confusion.  She never saw anyone like him.

Serena: Uh?  
Steve: Oh!  Who is this new girl?  
Brock: Well, Steve, we didn't have a chance to know her name yet because.... (gasp)
Dawn: ASH!
Pikachu: PIKA!

They quickly rushed over to Ash.  Steve is puzzled as he sees Serena and Brock checking on him.  Ash and his Greninja are still unconscious.

Brock: Ash!  Wake up!
Steve: Okay what in the Primal World just happened?  How did you guys come here and why is Ash seem to be dead?  I hope he's not that is.

Steve then sees Cynthia looking at the sky.

Steve: Cynthia, what's going on?

As she turns, he sees tears on her face.

Cynthia: .......Our home....our world is destroyed....
Steve: WHAT!?

When he responded with a shock, her friends became depressed as her.  Their world of Pokemon is gone from existence.  They are the last of their universe.

Meanwhile back in the Gem Universe, Pearl sits on the couch feeling sad after that her friends found out her secret visit to the Primal Earth.  Peridot is also worried.  She is sitting by Pearl's side with nothing to do.

Pearl: (sighs)
Peridot: Wow.... they were pretty unhappy, don't you think?
Pearl: Oh no, Peridot, they were filled with joy......
Peridot: That's terribly false!  
Pearl: .......

The warp pad flashes and Garnet and Amethyst appeared from the light.  When they saw Pearl they stared at her with disappointment.  Pearl looks back down with guilt.  Then Steven brought Connie with him inside the house.

Connie: Pearl!  Is it true?  You saw them again?
Pearl: Oh, Connie.  I'm very sorry.  Truly I am!  It's just... Steve wanted to see me ONLY.  Please believe me, I even insisted to bring you all with me!
Garnet: Then why didn't you?  
Pearl: I tried, but Steve only came here for me!

They all glared at her and Peridot.  She then notices they were looking at her too.

Pearl: And if you are wondering about Peridot, she thought I was being abducted.  That's why she followed me.
Peridot: It's true!  I thought that Blocknoid was a harmful kidnapper!  I didn't know you were acquainted with him!
Pearl: Guys.... please don't be mad at me.  I'll explain everything that happened.  Every single minute from the first universe.  

The Gems and Steven think to themselves.  Steven looks at Garnet and Amethyst as he is now curious about Pearl's trip.

Steven: Garnet, Amethyst, lets give her another chance.  From hearing her statement, I think we should blame Steve for this.  After all, he is more bonded with Pearl than the rest of us.  Perhaps that's why he took her in.
Pearl: Yes!  That's right!  Even Mordecai was there too!  It was just the four of us!
Amethyst: That block-head, selfish jerk!  How dare he not bring us too!

Garnet nods with a small grin.  She agrees to forgive Pearl and Peridot.

Garnet: You're right.  I shouldn't be mad at you, Pearl.  There must be a good reason for this.  
Connie: I want to hear this too!

Amethyst and Garnet sat on their stools while Steven and Connie sat on the other couch.  Pearl is glad to see them waiting for her explanation.

Garnet: Alright, Pearl, tell us....what did you experience at the Primal Earth?
Steven: Oh wait!  What about Lapis?  She needs to hear this too!
Peridot: I was wondering about her too?  Where did she go?
Garnet: She wanted to go back to the barn.  She doesn't want to be involved in this.
Steven: Oh....

Without Lapis, Pearl begins her story from her latest journey to the Primal World.

Meanwhile at the barn, Lapis Lazuli is relaxing on top of her home.  She continues to think about the blocky figure, Steve.

Lapis: That life form.... is he a Gem like the rest of us?  Is he another living thing from an unknown planet?

She starts to struggle a little.

Lapis: (groans) What was that guy?  Why were the Crystal Gems so upset from missing that alien?  Do they...know him or something?  (sighs)  Maybe I should've stick around and ask them about it.

She watches the blue sky and the clouds floating by.  The fresh breeze gives her a sense of peace.  She closes her eyes and tries to forget about Steve.

Lapis: Maybe I should just forget about it.  It's not my business anyway and why should I care?  It's not like it's going to affect my life.

She starts to rest with silence, but then.....when she squints for the first time, she sees a blurry vision of a small creature above her eyes.  She sees something and opened her eyes fully in surprise.  She now sees a small, pink, levitating cat-like animal just staring at her with curiosity.

Lapis: ....!
???: Meeew?
Lapis: AGH!

The cute little cat spooked Lapis off the roof.  She falls down and quickly tries to flee from the floating creature.  She then trips over a bucket and falls again.  She turns around and checks to see if the cat is following her.  The floating creature is just staring at her.  The floating creature is known to be the Mythical Pokemon, Mew.

Mew: Meew...
Lapis: What are you?  
Mew: Meew...

Mew descends to her with curiosity.  Lapis is nervous.

Lapis: Stand back you...you... thing!
Mew: ......

Lapis sees a small pond by the barn.  She focuses on her powers and raised a bubble from the pond.  While Mew isn't looking back, Lapis manipulates the bubble and catches Mew with it.  Mew is inside her bubble.

Lapis: Gotcha!  
Mew: Meew....Mew...

Mew isn't afraid of her cage tactic, instead it was happy.  It then controls the bubble by randomly floating around.  Lapis tries to stop Mew from moving but somehow Mew has total control over it.  Mew is satisfied with the bubbly cage.

Lapis: Why can't I control it?  What did you do?
Mew: Mew...

It then blows forward and caused the bubble to float towards her.  Lapis is confused by its extraordinary ability.

Lapis: Okay, you can control bubbles.  Now what?  Are you here to harm me?
Mew: ....?

Mew is starting to do quick breaths, making Lapis to stay on her guard.  As she thinks the worse has come, Mew suddenly just sneezes.  The sneeze popped the bubble into tiny bubbles.  The little bubbles are scattered around Lapis' face.

Lapis: Uh?  
Mew: Meew....

Mew is interested in Lapis.  It flies around her with curiosity as always.  Lapis no longer fears the creature but instead sees it as a playful animal.

Lapis: Hmm?  Do you want to do that again?  
Mew: .....?
Lapis: The...bubble thing?
Mew: Mew!

Mew nods with a cute smile.  Lapis smiles back at it.

Meanwhile back at the Primal World inside the United World Base, Ash is resting inside a room with two bunk beds, dark green carpet, a lamp on top of a desk, and one wide couch.  His friends, Dawn, Steve, and Serena are sitting on the couch waiting for him to wake up.  Pikachu is near him and waits with concern.  A few minutes later, Ash begins to squint his eyes.  His friends are surprised and relieved to see him waking up.

Dawn and Serena: ASH!
Pikachu: PIKA!
Steve: You're alright!

Ash opens his eyes and he sees Steve.

Ash: Uh...Steve?  Is that you?  Am I dreaming?
Steve: It's not a dream.  You're actually in the newly made United World Headquarters on the Primal World.
Ash: Primal World?  So... we made it?

Serena hugs him in relief as well as Pikachu.  Ash is surprised to see her.

Ash: Serena!  You're here too!
Serena: I am!  I'm so glad you're still alive!  
Ash: And what about Greninja?  Is Greninja okay?
Serena: Don't worry.  Your friend Brock is recovering it in another room.  He says that your Greninja barely-

Ash is shocked.

Ash: Brock's here!?  
Dawn: We're all here.  Long time no see.
Ash: Dawn!  Wow!  This is great!  It's been-

Suddenly, Ash paused.  He remembers why he came here.  His happiness has shifted into concern.

Steve: Ash?
Ash: ....... Tell me, what happened when I was unconscious?
Steve: ........

They all start to feel depression again.  Dawn sits back on the couch with Piplup and Serena sits on the floor near the bed.  From the looks on their faces, Ash senses bad news.

Ash: Steve?  Serena?  Dawn?  
Serena: Ash..... our world is gone.....

Ash is petrified. 

Serena: That stranger you guys were against with....he.....destroyed the planet.  He even.... killed Diantha....
Ash: No.... no....

Ash got up from his bed and went towards a window.  He sees few of the structures Steve built on the plaza.

Ash: All of those people... and Pokemon....
Serena: All died.... (sniffles)  Clemont and Bonnie..... weren't saved....

Ash starts to feel heartbroken from hearing the loss of his other two friends.  He begins to remember other of his greatest friends from the past.

Ash: Clemont....Bonnie....Iris....Cilan....(sniffles) .... Max.... May.... Misty.... Gary....(sniffles) Mom....And all of my other Pokemon that I had.....

He pounds the wall with anger and sadness.  He then slides down to his knees.  Pikachu goes up to him to comfort his sorrow.

Pikachu: Pikachu....
Serena: I'm very sorry....

Ash continues to weep while the others are devastated.  Dawn is also crying but softly.

Dawn: (sniffles) Everyone in Sinnoh....even my mom.... (sniffles)
Piplup: Pip...pip....
Serena: Mine too...

Steve is concerned for all of them.  He tries to cheer them up.

Steve: It is truly tragic to lose everything you care about, even if it's not diamond.  But look at the bright side.  You all made it here together and you all have each other.  Plus, I'm here for you guys.
Dawn: .....(sniffles) Thank you, Steve, but, our Earth was our only home to live on.  We lost it and now we have nowhere to continue on with our dreams.  What's the point of being the greatest contest coordinator if the Pokemon Contests are now extinct.

Ash gets back up on his feet.

Ash: As for me, becoming a Pokemon Master..... will never happen.  Thanks to that stupid Cell.

Ash then realizes that Cynthia isn't in the room.  He becomes worried.

Ash: WAIT!  Don't tell me that Cynthia is gone too!
Serena: She's okay too.  She was about to leave me by the order of the White Figure person, but she was determined to save me instead.
Steve: From the sound of it, I am very grateful to have Cynthia as our member.  She did what was right than obeying the Omniguardian.
Ash: Thank goodness.  So, where is she?

Steve looks back at the open door.

Steve: She's in another room similar to this one.  She said something about wanting to have a moment alone.
Dawn: That tells me that Cynthia is pretty sad.  
Serena: She did witness so much losses.  Poor Cynthia....
Ash: Hmmm....

Steve starts to head to the hallway.  He turns back once more.

Steve: I'll let Brock know that you're okay, Ash.  Just for now, stay with your friends in here.
Ash: Okay.

Steve walks through the hallway.  Ash and his friends now wait in their room.

Ash: And what about Sonic?
Dawn: Sonic?
Ash: Back at the fields, Cell mentioned that he invaded his planet and destroyed it too.  Do you believe he could be right about Sonic....being dead?
Dawn: I hope not....
Serena: ........

The scene fades out.  Then the next scene fades back in.  Back in the Fields of Fallen Swords, the blue hedgehog finally stands on his feet.  With the six Chaos Emeralds stored and the Master Emerald secured in the area, he is ready to go on.  He looks up to the sky and wonders about the experience back at his world.

Sonic: I don't know what just happened back there, but I'm going to find a way to stop them.  That creature.... and the dark version of myself.  I will avenge everyone, including Shadow.
